Sometime it is just about leaning back and enjoy it just for what it triggers in you.After all it doesn't have to be good or intellectual to be enjoyable.

There are so many movies that were left out- Jaws, Blazing Saddles, and (even though it's animated) The Lion King. Any one of then could have bumped out a few of the movies on the existing list. There should have 25 top movies too cause ten doesn't cover too many a all. Plus for a movie to be re-watchable it should affect the current culture so it becomes quotable or known by one line..., "Milk was a bad choice" for instance... :-D

I have not seen all of the movies on the list, but of the ones I have seen, I agree that they are very rewatchable. Except for Napoleon Dynamite - I did not get that movie at all! To this day, I can not understand what all the hype was about.

I agree with Sarah but the song is ok not something I would listen to though, I dont like that he picked the general topic of college getting drunk and partying instead of his own image of college which is more unique b/c each person has a different point of view.

It must be nice to start out doing well then sink to the lowest of lows and then come back and get all sorts of recognition/attention. I guess it's easier in the movie/entertainment business than it is in other industries. My best to Mickey but I don't put a lot of value on the awards shows.

I find this song offensive. College should not just be about weed, sex, and alcohol. Some people, like me, are in college so that they can earn a decent degree and go out and get a decent career. I know i don't want to be stuck working at a supermark or a fast food joint the rest of my life. Thankfully, this is the first and only time so far I have heard this song. And about the drinking part. I can't believe the guy had the audicity to practically support UNDERAGE drinking with the whole freshmen thing and then he says do something crazy. That is what offends me the most. I am currently a freshman in a college and I have two room mates that LOVE to go out partying and drinking. It got to the point where one of them got so bombed, she had to go to the hospital, and I had to go with her. I hope they never hear about this song otherwise i am going to have to put up with it blasting ALL of the time. >:o

After wasting four minutes and twenty-two seconds of my life on watching a pathetic attemp of a wannabe rapper to rap, i am gonna have to disagree with you as far as not liking thing song because it targets a certain demographic. I respect your opinion since this is a matter of personal opinion and each individual draws their own line as to what his/her standards are to like a song or not. I usually look for voice, rythem, and a nice beat as the main criteria to evaluate a song, and if i can actually understand what is said the songs words are also considered depending on the song though. In this case the guy has no voice, just because a persons voice sounds good in the bathroom, doesn't mean you're an artist. My voice sucks as much as his, yet you won't see me singing anytime soon. Throughout the vid, he's trying to rap but he still needs a lot of work. And if he's tryig to copy Eminem he might want to take classes from him, cause he needs lots of work. As far as the beat to me it's average at best, not a catchy song. All that said i am pretty sure you'll be hearing this song in college parties all over the states, but i assure you that not every university/college student will be going crazy about it.

I prefer the songs that have their meaning added by the audience rather than being written for a specific reaction. One Australian song that comes to mind is The Angels "Am I ever gonna see your face again" where the audience response is to sing back 'No way, get f*#&ed, f*#& off". It's not what the band imagine when they wrote that song, I'm sure, but it's be tough to find an Aussie under 50 who doesn't know that refrain.

Certainly the song was produce to appeal to the specific college crowd who will go crazy listening to it increasing popularity and causing some laughs. Along the way it will generate cash flow and while i disapprove of the method it certainly gets the job done.... now.. to figure out how to get my cut of the same stimulus :-$

I agree with Kat that not every song that speaks to a specific demographic is bad. That being said, this "song" is a waste. Partly because of the subject matter and partly because it does seem to be blatantly commercial.
It's one thing to write a song with a narrow focus if it is something you feel strongly about, but really - can anyone feel strongly about getting drunk and passing out?

Okay that movie was definitely a waste of time. In general though I have to respectfully disagree. As a general question though: where do you draw the line? Any kind of "alternative" music is only going to appeal to a specific demographic. You used the term "anthematically." Could you clarify what that means? Many of my favorite songs are aimed at those with particular struggles. Would a song aimed at gay/lesbian teens fall in the same category? I would consider those to be anthems. In this particular case I agree that the song is bad, but I think that's more a function of the shallowness of the behavior than a function of the targeting of the message.

I would be happy to hear any feedback you have on this.

It does slightly resemble Eminem, without his 'style' if you will. Unfortunately, this type of message is going to go over very well with the college crowd. Personally, I found nothing about it that was worth the nearly four and a half minutes spent watching it.

I found it to be a shallow anthem that will undoubtedly appeal to an equally shallow demographic. Don't get me wrong, I like a good party song as well as the next person, but this just didn't appeal to me whatsoever. Maybe because it's just too blantantly obvious.

"Disposable" is the perfect word. It's a surgically targeted message, and it's a message that panders to the lowest common denominator.

But, I must say , the first time I heard the song, I thought it was new Eminem. He's got just a little bit of flow.

More interestingly, from what YouTube! would imply, the "Official" clean and dirty versions sample different

The song is "I love College" and you mentioned Eve 6 (the only band who ever came to my little college in the hills, aside from "Paramore") and, long story short, supposedly the guys from Eve 6 were known to slip stuff in college girls drinks!
